ChannelApe was designed with multi-channel e-commerce automation in mind. We built it to allow users to connect all their e-commerce channels including their vendors (distributors, warehouses, and manufacturers) in one place. We know users sell products on public channels like Amazon, Shopify, eBay, and many others. But we designed ChannelApe to handle private channels like your manufacturer or drop-shipper also.
Otreva built ChannelApe from scratch but our frontend team used Zurb's Foundation Framework to create a mobile first application. The application is screen agnostic meaning you can use it on everything from a cell phone up to an HDTV. The whole application was architected in Amazon Web Services cloud using EC2, RDS, Elastic Beanstalk, DynamoDB, & SES to create a self-healing, auto-scaling application.
Why should only famous people get hooked up for promoting a brand?
With Shillster, you can too. Star in your own photo and receive exclusive deals, social accolades and good karma for helping your favorite businesses. Shillster is a social marketing platform that enables businesses to create and distribute their marketing message via their customers. Word of Mouth is the best form of marketing for your business.
Otreva teamed up with Shillster & APPEK to help create their technology platform from the ground up. We started with Zend Framework 2 (PHP) for the web frontend, marketer management backend, and API for the iOS applications. The web frontend and backend is fully responsive and was created with the help of the Foundation 4 Framework.
The main source for our API design thinking for Shillster was REST. Because it is an architectural style and not a strict standard, it allowed for tons of flexibility. Lastly the API was connected to the iOS application which receives all of its data from the same Zend 2 backend.
We designed the Shillster platform to be completely stateless. It will scale up or down to follow the demand curve on Amazon Web Service's cloud computing platform.
Check out Shillster today on the web or your favorite iOS device.
ReferLocal came to Otreva looking for a fresh new design for their local marketing and e-commerce platform including Business Pages, Deals, Classifieds and a few other ReferLocal products.
Due to some constraints with the legacy platform, we designed around the constraints of the platform by using the CSS framework, Blueprint. We changed some of the framework's base CSS to allow for a percentage based fluid width beyond the normal 980px fixed-width layouts.
Check out ReferLocal's mobile apps on both iOS and Android which closely match the new design on the new web application.

Otreva was approached to take an under-performing online store and bring it to the next level through new design, functionality, and Internet Marketing. The client wanted a hosted e-commerce solution that was easy to use and that customers could understand. On the front end we went with a responsive, clean design that could be used on everything from a smartphone to desktop.
We created a new product data schema for over 25,500 products that the store offers and helped the client get it setup in the hosted backend. The next step was to somehow connect this data to Google so our products would easily display at the top of results for Google searches. In only the first few months, the store is boasting a 4 digit percentage increase in sales. Visit VitaminPartners.com for all your vitamin and health supplement needs.
Otreva helped Alex's campaign build their backend platform on NationBuilder. They were able to send email newsletters, fundraise online, track donations, recruit volunteers, plan events, & conduct surveys and petitions on the platform. Not only were they able to use these tools available to almost all political campaigns today, but also GOTV (get out the vote) with canvassing and turf cutting tools, walk lists, and phone banking.

Brier Dlugolecki Strategies contacted Otreva looking for a unique way to interact with their clients and web users. BDS offers strategic solutions and effective advocacy to meet the needs of their diverse client base in a wide range of industries. Brier Dlugolecki Strategies' convenient location across from the Capitol Building in Harrisburg, PA spurred an idea. Why not develop a Twitter feed that encompasses the current state senators and representatives on one page making it easy to see what legislators are up to?
We built a Twitter application using their API that pulls in the latest tweets from two lists developed with the current Senate and House Twitter IDs. We then used jQuery masonry to make a unique wall of the latest tweets.
Otreva was brought on board by a local law firm to help with a full internet marketing package including responsive design, search engine optimization and internet marketing. The firm was disappointed with past results and wanted to try something new to move their site up the search engine ranks. Otreva started by analyzing their current on-site optimization techniques such as keyword density, URL structure, and metadata. We optimized the site for 100′s of local key phrases including numerous #1 results like “NEPA Personal Injury Lawyer” on Google.
To supplement the SEO efforts, a new, clean responsive design ensures that anyone viewing the site has a consistent user experience no matter what device they are using. With a fluid design, the site works with a variety of current screen sizes like smartphones and tablets yet will also work with screen sizes that emerge into the future.
Otreva Designs was approached by Penn East Federal Credit Union to help them update their credit union’s website from an older style and layout. We also were tasked with developing a site that would look good on mobile devices. The bank’s marketing team also needed access to update rates, add photos, and create promotions.
Otreva was approached by Kris Jones, internet entrepreneur and best-selling author, to help him create a new site in WordPress that wasn't your standard blog. Kris wanted the landing page to be more portal like. The request was to create something that could point to some other ventures like ReferLocal & KBJCapital. Kris also wanted the site to be socially connected. Otreva designed a landing page utilizing a ‘metro’ style block layout as well as two live streams for Facebook and Twitter.
Some feedback from users on Facebook:
Kristopher B. Jones
“the nice thing is that is collates all past posts so it’s sort of like a timeline of some of the stuff I’m written in the past…… Note that I told my designer that I wanted the site to be more of a portal and less like a blog and I also told him that I wanted the site to be social. I personally think he crushed it, especially his interpretations of pictures, videos, and the social feeds on the main page.”
“Yep, he did a great job making sure all media including social media is interacting with the user base.”
“Nice website! Loving the Social Stream page in particular!”
“Mobile site is slick. Feels like an app almost.”
We were approached by John Hanger's team to develop a socially aware website for his 2014 Pennsylvania Gubernatorial run. Most campaign websites we see are almost the same exact site with different colors and different photos. They all follow the same template for the most part.
For John's site, we wanted to step away from the norm and create something that was more social and interactive. We didn't want to include the typical Twitter & Facebook sidebar widgets as a social afterthought.
We used a new platform & CMS called NationBuilder which allows use to turn likes and follows into supporters. The platform allows users to interact with the campaign via the website and earn points for various tasks and content sharing.
Custom web design and development for Pennsylvania Attorney General, Kathleen Kane.
Named ‘Best Website for a Statewide Candidate‘ by Politics PA
“Kane’s site is sleek, visually engaging and comprehensive. It’s well-maintained and compliments her social media efforts. What puts it over the top is the prominence of her “Sandusky Scandal” page. No issue will play bigger in this race than Sandusky case, and given her resume, it’s already a natural boost for her. The site best emphasizes her strengths.”
Twisted Mango asked Otreva to help create a mobile friendly website for their new chain of Frozen Yogurt shops. Otreva opted for a WordPress backend to allow the TM team to make internal updates to things like their huge list of flavors, new locations, & blog posts.
